Razzies 2008
The nominations for the 2008 Razzies have been released, and once again I think the awards group has done a great job.
Eddie Murphy has earned five nominations for his turn in Norbit. They really oughta consider giving him a lifetime achievement award at this point.
Lindsay Lohan was the leading nominee however, getting the nod for nine different categories for her movie I know who killed me.
The awards will be announced on February 23rd, the day before the Oscars.
Green Bay Bikini Girls
Just for perspective the conditions in Green Bay yesterday featured temperatures of minus-3 degrees and a windchill of -24 degrees. These girls are about as hard core as they come.

Carla Bruni In Her Bikini
If you haven’t heard of Carla Bruni yet then you’re obviously not paying attention to French politics. I don’t blame you.
But anyway, Bruni is shacking up with French president Nicolas Sarkozy, and they may or may not have recently gotten married. Whatever your feelings might be on the French, you sure as hell have to admit they have us beaten when it comes to hotness of first ladies. Ours generally look like grandmothers (or grandfathers when it comes to Barbara Bush).
Carla Bruni is a former supermodel who evidently loves powerful and famous men. She’s been attached in the past to Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Kevin Costner, Vincent Perez, and Donald Trump. With Jagger Bruni was actually a primary reason for his separation with his wife, so she’s kind of a homewrecker.
Sarkozy obviously made a nice score here, as you can see with these shots of Bruni in her bikini:
Sarah Michelle Gellar Naked For Vaseline
Vaseline is starting a new ad campaign, and there’s been some secrecy over who the nude star in their new ads might be. It is pretty clearly Sarah Michelle Gellar though. Not sure what I think of their choice there, as I don’t know that I’ve ever thought of Buffy as having especially nice skin. Check out the rest of the ads here:
Josh Brolin Cast As George W. Bush In Oliver Stone Biopic
Oliver Stone is working on a George W. Bush biopic entitled Bush. It will be about the life and presidency of George W. Bush. Stone has cast Josh Brolin as Bush.
The film will probably be rushed into production so that it will be in theaters by the November elections. While Stone has pretty strong personal political beliefs, this film supposedly won’t be biased. Stone told Variety:
“It’s a behind-the-scenes approach, similar to ‘Nixon,’ to give a sense of what it’s like to be in his skin,” Stone told Daily Variety. “But if ‘Nixon’ was a symphony, this is more like a chamber piece, and not as dark in tone. People have turned my political ideas into a cliche, but that is superficial. I’m a dramatist who is interested in people, and I have empathy for Bush as a human being, much the same as I did for Castro, Nixon, Jim Morrison, Jim Garrison and Alexander the Great.”
Brolin seems kind of an odd choice to play Bush (but then again I’m not sure who would really fit either), but he’s an extremely hot actor, coming off of performances this year in American Gangster and No Country For Old Men.
Britney Spears Files Restraining Order Against Adnan Ghalib
According to X17, Britney Spears has filed a restraining order against Adnan Ghalib!
I’m shocked as hell that we might actually be seeing some good sense out of Spears. I was pretty much assuming that Britney was going to marry Adnan and have a million babies with him and then end up with yet another divorce and having to make another fat payment every month. But maybe not this time:
Last night at 2 am, Britney Spears invited two of our photographers into her Beverly Hills pad for a little conversation. They chatted for a while, then escorted Brit and Sam in the car, so Britney could drive around and listen to music. After that, it was back to the house … The guys ended up staying with her for FOUR hours!
Earlier in the evening, Britney went out to the gas station with Sam around 8 pm, then they came out again later in her Black Escalade, went to club Goa but never got out of the car. When she returned home after that second outing, was when she invited the photographers to come inside her home.
Roberto and Leandro from X17online went inside … Britney said, “Come with me, let’s have fun.” She opened a bottle of champagne for them and went outside on the patio to smoke cigarettes. Our photogs say Britney nursed a 1/2 glass of champagne the entire evening and never drank more.
Britney put on Amy Winehouse and her own CD, changed into jeans and her famous pink wig.
Team X17er Robert said, “We had fun. Britney was funny, very relaxed, dancing a little bit, and she carried her little dog all the time.”
At one point in the discussion, Sam took a paper out of his pocket — it was a restraining order against Adnan Ghalib. He said, “Look at this!” Britney expressed disappointment and anger toward Adnan for being “set-up” in photographs that Adnan and his agency have sold of Britney and Adnan together.
Only time will tell, but maybe this is where she starts turning it around? Literally would be the first smart thing she’s done in years.
Conan O’Brien Buys $10 Million Brentwood Home
Conan O’Brien is getting nice and comfortable in anticipation of taking over the reigns of The Tonight Show in 2009. He recently purchased a $10,750,000 house located in Brentwood, CA. The house features six bedrooms, six fireplaces, a private screening room, a 1500 capacity wine cellar, a spa, an exterior kitchen, and a canyon view. Pretty nice digs!

Suzanne Pleshette Dies; The Bob Newhart Show Actress Dies At Age 70
Suzanne Pleshette has died at the age of 70. Pleshette died in her home of respiratory failure. She had previously been treated for lung cancer.
Suzanne Pleshette had a long career, but was best known for playing Bob Newhart’s wife on the 70’s television show The Bob Newhart Show. She was nominated for four Emmy Awards in her lifetime.
Pleshette also appeared in the movie The Birds, and recently had cameos on shows such as Will and Grace and 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. She also famously played Leona Helmsley in a television movie in the early 90’s. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Poston. The two met in 1959, but weren’t married until 40+ years later.
