Ashlee Simpson: Confirms Pregnancy

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz/Ashlee Wentz, yes she changed her name, finally confirmed what we all know: she’s pregnant. No kidding. They issued this statement about their exciting news.

Sharon Stone: Experiencing Bad “Karma”

Sharon Stone shook things up at the Cannes film festival last Thursday when she made a comment that the recent Chinese earthquake that killed over 67,000 people was possibly due to “karma.”
Apparently she feels that because the country of China was bullying Tibet and the Dali Lama, who is a “good friend” of hers, they deserve the death and destruction that came in the form of an earthquake.
OK Sharon. Lesson one in etiquette. When loads of innocent people die because of a natural disaster, their grieving families probably don’t want to think that they deserved it because of their country’s treatment of another. Say it in your head before you say it out loud.
That “karma” she speaks of is now about to bite her in the ass. China is banning all movies with the actress in it and Christian Dior, for whom she’s a spokesmodel, has apologized and dropped her from their Chinese ads.
“Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people,” the actress said in the statement. “I am willing to take part in the relief work of China’s earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people.”
Translated, that sounds like she’ll be pumping a bunch of money in so she a) looks better and b) so that China will change their mind and screen future sure-to-be hit Sharon Stone flicks.
Oh and just a tip, showing us your vajayjay doesn’t make the movie great. The first time round, maybe. Show us again and we’ll probably vomit a little in our mouths.

Gary Dourdan: Pled Guilty

Gary Dourdan, the CSI actor who was arrested April 28th for felony possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy, pleaded guilty to the two drug possession charges Wednesday morning. The maximum sentence for the charges against him was three years and eight months in jail but it looks like he won’t be headed to the clinker this time.
As part of the plea deal, Dourdan will face no jail time and will head to a drug treatment program instead.(He has until November 20, 2009 to complete a series of drug-education courses.)
CBS also confirmed last week that Dourdan will remain on CSI.
George Clooney and Sarah Larson: Breakup

Maybe Sarah Larson should have read up on perpetual bachelor George Clooney. The guy doesn’t have the greatest track record for staying in relationships.
Although skeptics remained hopeful when his relationship with the Fear Factor winner appeared on the serious side, it looks as though he’s back to being single.
The two met four years ago in Las Vegas where she was a cocktail waitress at The Whiskey Bar and decided only last June to take their relationship to officially dating. Larson gushed about her involvement with the Hollywood hottie in June’s issue of Bazaar magazine which just came out last week.
That sucks especially for the next guy she dates. Oh so what was the last guy you dated like? Why’d you break up? Well, it was George Clooney actually so it was really that we didn’t head to his Lake Como house in Italy enough.
Rachael Ray: Dunkin Donuts Ad Pulled

Rachael Ray is a spokesmodel for the company Dunkin’ Donuts and recently a commercial featuring her was pulled from the air after much controversy over the scarf she was wearing.
It turns out that the black and white scarf she was wearing looks very similar to a keffiyeh which is a traditional headdress worn by Arab men.
Michelle Malkin, a conservative Fox News commentator, fueled the outburst against the ad by posting, “The keffiyeh has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad” in her blog over the weekend.
Wow, looks like someone ran out of things to blog about.
Dunkin’ Donuts had this to say: “In a recent online ad, Rachael Ray is wearing a black-and-white silk scarf with a paisley design. It was selected by her stylist for the advertising shoot. Absolutely no symbolism was intended. However, given the possibility of misperception, we are no longer using the commercial.”
Bad day for her stylist.
