Sharon Stone: $1 Billion Lawsuit
Sharon Stone pissed some people off in China when she said that the earthquake last May could be a result of “karma” and now she might be looking at a $1 billion lawsuit.
There are over 1,000 earthquake victims in China and New York lawyer Ming Hai wants the dough because she harmed them with her statements.
“For the families who have lost their loved ones or lost limbs or suffered severe injuries, your … statement and act has caused extreme emotional distress,” Ming says.
For her part, Stone apologized and said she “misspoke” but now she may be out a crap ton of money. I doubt she has anywhere close to that much money.
I understand what she said was rude and unnecessary but $1 billion dollars? That’s just crazy.

Jamie Lynn Spears: Planning Fall Wedding
Jamie Lynn Spears, 17, and her 19-year-old baby daddy Casey Aldridge will wed in the fall according to OK! Magazine.
The two were reportedly engaged before the actress gave birth to their daughter Maddie Lynn a month ago and despite rumors of a split, it looks like the wedding is a go.
Spears wants a small affair in her own backyard with her sis Britney as maid of honor.
The happy threesome is living in a home on three acres in Liberty, Mississippi which is just 30 minutes from where grandma Lynn Spears resides.
John Mayer: Pete Wentz/Ashlee Simpson Baby Godfather
Pete Wentz and John Mayer have had quite the bromance going on lately and proved their love for each other on each of their blogs.
Now Mayer may get the ultimate nod of respect and be asked to be the godfather for Wentz and Ashlee Simpson’s first child due in October.
The couple’s only concern is that Ashlee’s sis Jessica might be a little upset since John’s an ex but they are still considering him as a choice.
“Pete and Ashlee know that and they think he would make a great godparent.”
They are not sure how Jessica would feel about her ex having such a strong link to her new niece,” a source tells The Sun.
“John gets a bad rap and is always portrayed as a bad boy but he’s got a heart of gold.”
Sheryl Crow: Eco-Friendly Jeans
Sheryl Crow has contributed to causes like Healthy Child Healthy World and has spoken out for the Stop Global Warming campaign so it’s no surprise that her new jean line will be eco-friendly and affordable.
She’s teamed up with Western Glove Works (aka Silver Jeans) and will be coming out with a line called “Bootheel Trading Co. by Sheryl Crow” that will focus around denim and integrate organic cotton and fair-trade materials.
No word on when the jeans are set to debut but rumor has it that a trip to Australia in October will be to discuss the line.
Osama “Sam” Lufti: Out of Britney’s Life
Former BFF and sidekick Sam Lutfi is staying out of Britney Spears’ life even though the restraining order has not been extended.
Brit doesn’t want him around and since he seemed to show up when she was at her worst (no undies, pink wig and looking dazed), that’s probably a good idea.
The reason for the restraining order in the first place was because Brit accused Lutfi of keeping her a hostage in her own home, drugging her and taking over her finances.
For now, Lutfi is steering clear of the pop princess but Brit made it clear that if he tries to come back in her life, appropriate legal action will be taken.
Good for you Brit. I mean seriously, who is this guy? He obviously is after your money and fame. *cough -K-Fed*

Before they could even personally confirm their relationship, the romance that went public in May between Kate Hudson, 29, and Lance Armstrong, 36, has fizzled.
Reports are mixed as to why the two ended things. Some say they were seen fighting and split because of it. Others blame work conflicts keeping the two apart as being the reason.
Whatever the reason, these serial daters are back out there and will probably be matched up with someone before the weekend.
Britney Spears: Dad To Stay In Charge
It’s been a rocky road for Ms. Britney Spears and while it looks like the road is headed uphill right now, she may not be ready to be in charge of her affairs quite yet.
Her pop Jamie Spears took charge on February 1 after Spears’ two forced hospitalizations and following a court review on Thursday, will probably remain in control.
Jamie has a say over who Brit associates with(remember the restraining order filed to keep Sam Lufti away?), where her money goes and has even hired security guards to keep an eye on her 24/7. [This type of control can last anywhere from several months to the person's lifetime.]
Terry K. Wasserman, a mental health attorney not involved in her case, told People Magazine, “I would be very surprised if the court ends her father’s control so soon.
It’s rare for someone to regain their capacity in just 60 days. Britney can only regain control of her life if she proves to the court – backed by medical experts – that she’s regained her health.”
I hope he’s right. I mean the girl shaved her head in front of cameras and locked herself in a bathroom with her toddler son. I wouldn’t let her in charge of a lawn mower let alone an entire estate.
