Carrie Prejean sues the Miss California USA Pageant

August 31, 2009

I can’t wait for the resolution on this one.

Apparently, Former Carrie Prejean is suing the MCUP and it’s Directors (specifically- Shanna Moakler, Keith Lewis and Roger Neal). She’s claiming that she was removed over religious discrimination, specifically her views on gay marriage. Hopefully, she’ll soon realize that she was removed because she is a nuisance and a bigger idiot than those that came before her; for which there is no precedent.

“On Ms. Moakler’s behalf, I can say unequivocally that Ms. Prejean’s lawsuit is without merit,” says Mel Avanzado, Moakler’s lawyer.

“More importantly, as everyone who watched or read her public statements is well aware, Ms. Prejean’s unfortunate and bigoted statements are responsible for any public humiliation or damages to her reputation that she has claimed to have suffered,” Avanzado added. “Ms. Moakler strenuously denies that she did anything wrong and looks forward to proving that in a court of law.”

Paula Abdul Confirms leaving ‘Idol’

August 31, 2009

Singer Paula Abdul confirmed for the first time that she is officially leaving ‘Idol.’ In her interview with TV Guide she repeatedly mentions that she is leaving based on principles and not about money. Though, she never says what the principle is that she is leaving for.

“I had to stand on my principle,” Abdul, 47, tells TV Guide. “I’m going to miss the experience of watching young talent evolve into a place where they get to take off and soar.” “I believe in myself and you have to have your own self respect,” Abdul says. “And sometimes decisions are very difficult to make, but I’ve always believed that at the core I’m a survivor. There’s not one thing I’ve done that I’ve really set my mind to that I’ve failed at.”

Chris Brown Doesn’t Remeber Hitting Rihanna

August 31, 2009

In an interview with Larry King, Singer Chris Brown says he does not remember hitting Rihanna.

“I just look at it like, wow, I’m in shock, because, first of all, that’s not who I am as a person, and that’s not who I promise I want to be,” Brown said in a video posted on CNN’s website. “So when I look at the police reports or hear about the police reports, I just don’t know what to think.”

Larry King’s interview will be the first time Brown will have talked with members of the media. The interview will air this coming Wednesday.

M.I.A Crying that Tenacious D Performered After Her

August 31, 2009
Tenacious D

Tenacious D

Singer M.I.A. tweeted complaints that she was upset that she was opening for Tenacious D and not that Beastie Boys. Get the fuck over yourself! Technically, she wasn’t opening for anyone and no one closed. It was the weekend long 2009 Outside Lands Festival at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. The festival had been going on all weekend.

It was suppose to end with Beastie Boys, but because of Adam Yauch’s cancer treatments they had to pull out. Tenacious D was placed in the void. It sounds like M.I.A. (real name: Mathangi Arulpragasam - aka: too fucking long to pronounce) really thinks she was opening for the D, when she wasn’t. Tenacious D was the last band of the weekend, and M.I.A. was the second from last band to play for the weekend.

But Tenacious D were not taking the slight lightly. During their conversation with MTV News just prior to their festival-closing set, Black had some choice words for the singer. “She didn’t want to open for the D,” said Black. “But you know what? Sticks and stones may break my bones, but tweets will never hurt me.”

The show must go on. Blink 182 played their scheduled concert in Hartford, Connecticut last night. At one point during the show, bassist Mark Hoppus, added these words about DJ AM and then requested a moment of silence.

“This night is really hard for us onstage,” bassist Mark Hoppus said to the crowd. “We lost a dear friend yesterday. His name was Adam Goldstein. You probably know him as DJ AM. He was an innovator and a genius and he loved music more than anything else. Above all he was a very dear friend.”

With that said, here’s a PHOTO of Lady Gaga Topless during a photo shoot for V Magazine a few months back.
