Reportedly, actress Angelina Jolie has given her longtime partner, Brad Pitt, a special piece of jewelry to wear on Saturday.
The diamond pendant was made by designer Robert Procop, who Jolie will be partnering with on an upcoming jewelry line. There is a very tiny message engraved on the pendant. The designer has said, “I can’t tell you what it says, and you would need a microscope to read it.” He adds, “The technology is quite new. … The hidden message is lasered on.”
Jolie and Propcop are said to be close friends and she has worn his designs on the red carpet in the past. The design of the pendant for Pitt is said to be based on ancient Egyptians amulets which contain hidden messages.
The tension between Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johannson continues.
It seems the tension is still thick between actresses Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson. The ladies avoided each other at the Academy Awards on Sunday.
An insider has reportedly said, “It seemed like both of their arrivals were carefully staged to make sure they were never on the red carpet together. They both knew the other was presenting so it was no surprise that they would be at the same event, but they sure managed to keep away from one another.”
Johansson showed up on the red carpet with her agent, Joe Machota. Bullock looked perfectly happy all by herself on the red carpet.
The rift between the one time friends began when Johansson and husband Ryan Reynolds filed for divorce in December. Bullock and Reynolds continue to swear they are just friends. Johansson and Reynolds have had the rumor mill running as they have were spotted having lunch.
“So much has happened to Sandra in the past 12 months since she won an Oscar that I’m sure she wanted a drama-free night on Sunday,” a friend told sources.
Sources also say, “Whether or not Scarlett would be attending had nothing to do with her decision to attend, and what she does in her private life with a man that is getting divorced is entirely up to her.”
Melissa Leo appologizes for dropping the F-bomb.
Melissa Leo won the Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars. At first the actress was speechless and the next she let the F-bomb fly during her acceptance speech.
“I’m just shaking in my boots here,” ‘The Fighter’ star said. “Yeah, I am kind of speechless. When I watched Kate [Winslet] two years ago it looked so much f**king easier.”
Once her speech was over and she was backstage, Leo was quick to apologize for her language. Leo reportedly said, “I had no idea. This word … I apologize to anyone that they offended. There’s a great deal of the English language that is in my vernacular. I really don’t mean to offend, and it’s probably a very inappropriate place to use that particular word.”
Natalie Portman takes home an Oscar.
Actress Natalie Portman took home the award for best actress in a leading role at the Oscars. Portman won the award for her role as a troubled ballerina Nina Sayer in the movie ‘Black Swan’.
In her acceptance speech, she said, “I truly, sincerely, wish the prize was to get to work with my fellow nominees. I’m so in awe of all of you”.
Portman beat Annette Bening, Jennifer Lawrence, Michelle Williams and Nicole Kidman for the Oscar. The award was presentedto her by Jeff Bridges.
Portman said thank you to her “beautiful love”, husband, Benjamin Millepied, the dancer and ‘Swan’ choreographer, who she says “has now given me my most important role of my life.”

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez decided to hit the red carpet together at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party. The annual party was held at Sunset Tower Hotel on Sunday evening after the awards show.
The event was the first appearance by the teenage couple, who has kept their relationship low key before Sunday. The couple wore wearing color coordinated outfits by Dolce & Gabbana. Gomez, 18, wore a crimson D&G gown and Bieber, 16, wore a black suit with matching red pocket square.

The reviews for James Franco’s performance for hosting the Oscars are that he was “Distracted and blase”, according to sources. Another source has said he “bombed”.
“This was a disaster,” one TV executive told sources. “Before the show began something was wrong with James. His live interview on ABC backstage should have been a warning sign. He was awkward and looked as if he knew what a terrible evening was ahead for all of us.”
James made more than 20 short videos, sending them on Twitter, and was distracted by his cell phone.
James admitted to sources that he only had the weekend to rehearse so there was a lack of preparation. He chose to fly back to the East Coast weekdays to attend classes at Yale University.
“I’m not sure what happened,” one insider has said. “At rehearsals James and Anne were on fire. It seemed 20 minutes into the show as if James lost interest and just gave up while nerves might have gotten the better of Anne.”
When Billy Crystal, who has hosted the awards show eight time, the audience’s excitment level hit the roof. Sources from the Academy say they hope Billy will return again next year and provide the entertainment that was lacking this year.
Dior’s designer, John Galliano, makes racial remarks.
New video has surfaced of Dior designer John Galliano making insults at two patrons at the same bar he was arrested at less than a week ago for making anti-Semitic remarks to couple.
Reportedly, the video reveals, after the duo asked an intoxicated Galliano what color his hair was, Galliano told the customers, “I love Hitler”. He goes on to tell the pair, “People like you would be dead today. Your mothers, your forefathers would be f**king gassed.” He continued with his verbal attack on the woman saying, “You’re ugly.”
The same woman asked, “You don’t want peace in the world?” Galliano responded with, “Not with people that are ugly.”
According to the man who took the video, “We were stunned by what Galliano was saying, but then he started making vile anti-Semitic comments. His words were disgusting. He made it clear the Italian girls weren’t welcome and should go home. This was pure racism.”
French police took Galliano into custody under suspicion of “incitement of racial prejudice” last week after telling a customer at bar Le Perle that she had a “dirty Jew face”. The person accompanying the woman was of Asian descent and Galliano also made racial remarks against her. Galliano has been suspended by Dior.

Ivanka Trump is reportedly excited to start a family. The 29 year old daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump has been extremely busy with her fashion, jewelry design and real estate careers. Originally Ivanka had wanted to wait to begin working on a family, but changed her mind after marrying Jard Kushner in 2009.
“Ivanka has thoroughly enjoyed being an aunt to her brother Donald, Jr. and his wife Vanessa’s two children, so she got the bug early,” a friend of the family has said. “She had a strict upbringing herself in a close family and will be a wonderful mother because she puts 1,000 percent into everything she does.”
Ivanka graduated summa cum laude in 2004 from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance with a majors in finance and real estate. After college she got a job at Forest City Ratner Companies in Westchester, N.Y., then for the Trump Organization.
She designs high end jewelry as well as handbags, in addition to jetting around the world developing condominiums and hotels for the Trump Organization’s Hotel Collection. She has learned how to balance married life and her career and now is looking forward to learning how to balance parenting in with those as well.

Joan Rivers cuts Jennifer Aniston down.
It’s hard to believe it is Oscar season again. Joan Rivers, we all know, is known to randomly lash out at celebrities during that time of the year. Rivers has decided to pick on one A-lister who is not even in the runnning for an award this year.
“I would like to take Jennifer Aniston, and put her hair over her f—ing face!” Rivers recently told sources. “I’m so bored with her and her stupid movies. They’re all the same, I don’t know how they get financed.”
Aniston recently had fans buzzing with a new hair style, which is a sideswept, shoulder-length bob.
Aniston, 42, recently said during the Oprah show that she finds middle age marked by “a comfort and an ease within myself. And sort of an ability to really tune out the unnecessary negativity….and really understand that it’s all about just putting love and goodness out in the world.”
Ciara and Rihanna have a bit of a squabble over the weekend.
According to sources, singers Rihanna and Ciara got into a squable over the weekend regarding a comment Ciara made on television which soon ended in a Twitter fued.
Ciara,25, said of Rihanna while making a guest appearance on E!s ‘Fashion Police’ saying: “I ran into her recently at a party. She wasn’t the nicest….It’s crazy, because I’ve always loved and respected what she’s done in fashion. It wasn’t the most pleasant run-in.”
In response, ‘Fashion Police’ co-host Joan Rivers — never one to mince words (just ask Jennifer Aniston) — simply sniped, “B–ch.”
Rihanna, 22, did not appreciate the comments and Twittered: “My bad Ci, did I forget to tip you? How rude of me….You gangsta huh? Ha.”
“Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage,” Ciara tweeted in response. Rihanna then went on tweeting, “Good luck with bookin that stage you speak of,” Ciara seemed to brush her off, merely writing, “Pure comedy.”
Rihanna posted an apology tweet less than ten minutes later: “Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I’m heartbroken! That’s y I retaliated this way! So sorry!”
Once the dust settled, Ciara tweeted this reply: “Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. You threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let’s chat in person.”
