‘Two and a Half Men’ not up for an Emmy this year.
CBS executives have decided not to submit ‘Two and a Half Men’ for a Best comedy Series Emmy Award due to all of the drama surrounding the show.
With 16 shows airing and being produced it did qualify, but an insider has said it was not appropriate due to all of the controversy. ‘Two and a Half Men’ has been nominated for the award three times in the past.
Though the show is not up for the award this year, CBS says actors Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, Conchata Ferrell and Holland Taylor will be supported in category nominations.
The show shut down production in February after Charlie Sheen flew off the handle. Sheen has been fired from the show and it was reported that Ashton Kutcher will be on the ninth season of the show.

Sources say that Cheryl Cole has not only been ousted as a judge from the American version of ‘X Factor’, but has also lost her job on the British version as well.
Cole reportedly as refused to take any calls or have meetings with the producers of the show. “Cheryl will not be returning to the British ‘X Factor,’” a source said. “She hasn’t returned phone calls. And you can’t exactly negotiate with someone who won’t even speak to you.”
Kelly Rowland from the former band, Destiny’s Child, has been named the replacement for Cole on the British version of the show as well as Tulisa Contostavlos, the hip hop singer from N-Dubz.
Just last week Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls will no longer co-host the show, instead taking Cole’s spot on the judges panel of the U.S. version of ‘X Factor’.
Sources say Cole had gained some weight after battling malaria last year and was asked to lose “as much as two stones” (or 28 pounds) before appearing in front of American audiences. There had been rumors that she was told to get rid of boyfriend, Derek Hough of ‘Dancing With the Stars’, to improve her image.
Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi hits a cop car in Italy.
Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi was reportedly taken into police custody in Italy on Monday after hitting a police car.
Sources say ‘Snooki’ was driving in Florence and ran into a local police car, wedging her and co-star Deena Cartese in the Fiat Multipla and a member of the MTV production crew into the vehicle.
Sources say Cortese climbed out the window of the car after the accident as it was stuck between a security wall and the cop car. Sources say the car that Snooki hit was the personal safety car assigned to the MTV stars.
Snooki and Cartese were taken to the police station to complete an accident report. Officers do not suspect drugs or alcohol the be a factor in the accident. The reality stars reportedly refused medical treatment while the officers were taken to be treated for whiplash, cuts and bruises.
Last July Snooki was arrested in New Jerser for disorderly conduct during the filming the second season of Jersey Shore.
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have a wedding shower.
On Sunday, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo had a romantic West Hollywood wedding shower.
“Their party took [place] in the private rooftop garden surrounded by tall hedges and several security guards,” an insider said. “The area was closed to the public and roped off. There were white couches, chairs and ottomans set up on the lawn area to create a lounge feel … A DJ spun lounge music and a big bar was set up with martini glasses.”
The couple spent the weekend getting ready for the shower, by relaxing at the hotel pool for the holiday weekend. The couple stayed together all night talking about their upcoming wedding and greeting their guests.
Lachey, 37, and Minnillo, 30, dated for four years before Lachey asked for Minnillo’s hand in marriage in November, 2010. The couple met not long after Lachey and Jessica Simpson divorced in late 2005 when Minnillo played the love interest in Lacheys ‘What’s Left of Me’ music video.
Simpson became engaged to former NFL player, Eric Johnson, just before Lachey and Minnillo announced they were engaged.
Sean Kingston remains in hospital following a jet ski accident.
Reportedly, Sean Kingston suffered serious injuries following a jet ski accident on Sunday. The hip hop singer is currently listed in critical condition in a hospital in Miami Beach.
A local station in Miami reported that Kingston was riding the jet ski with a female passenger and they crashed into a bridge at approximately 6 p.m. Both Kingston and his female companion were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for medical attention.
Kingston’s rep confirmed the news saying, “Sean Kingston was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well-wishes.”
There is an ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident and at this time, it does not appear that alcohol played a role.
Dallas Cowboy, Tony Romo weds Candice Crawford.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, 31, and TV reporter Candice Crawford got married on Saturday in Dallas. There were reportedly 600 people in attendance of the couple’s big day.
Some of the Ashanti and Troy Aikman, former quarterback for the Cowboys, Chace Crawford and Jerry Jones, the Cowboys’ owner.
Romo and Crawford began dating in the summer of 2009 and became engaged since December. Before meeting Crawford, Romo ended his two year relationship in July 2009 with Jessica Simpson. He also dated Carrie Underwood and Sophia Bush.
The nuptials took place at Arlington Hall, which is historic mansion located on the grounds of Dallas’ Lee Park. Crawford, 24, told Dallas Cowboys blog Blue Star, “You dream about this as a little girl…You don’t dream, though, that Badgley Mischka is going to do your bridesmaids’ dresses, and you don’t dream that people are going to give you the support that they have. So we’re just really thankful…Getting married is an exciting, sacred thing.”
Bomb threat due to reruns of ‘Two and a Half Men’.
A viewer of ‘Two and a Half Men’ named Freddy Caldwell was arrested on Friday, after allegedly making bomb threats to a TV station for airing too many reruns of the sitcom. The caller’s motives remain unknown.
Cops learned that on May 11 and 23, Caldwell phoned the station and threatened to blow up the headquarters if any more reruns were aired. The calls were traced to Caldwell’s house in the Bronx and he was charged with “falsely reporting an incident and aggrevated harassment”.
Productions of new episodes were stalled for ‘Two and a Half Men’ when Charlie Sheen was fired in March by CBS. Sheen bragged about hard partying lifestyle. Sheen recently put his Beverly Hills estate on the market.
The network made the announcement earlier this month that they were replacing Sheen with Ashton Kutcher.

Singer Jay-Z is a huge fan of his wife’s, singer Beyonce. The rap star joined his wife at the ‘American Idol’ Season 10 finale. Before Beyonce took the stage to debute ‘1+1′ from her upcoming album ‘4′, Jay-Z caught everything on camera as his wife got her vocal chops ready in the dressing room.
Also joining her in the room were mom, Tina Knowles and nephew, Daniel Julez. Jay-Z put the visuals on his new Life + Times website and wrote a touching write up about his beautiful wife.
“Sometimes you need perspective. You’ve been right in front of greatness so often that you need to step back and see it again for the first time. This is the dressing room rehearsal for American Idol. NO MICROPHONE. No effects [sic],” he wrote.
Actor Jeff Conway dies at the age of 60.
Jeff Conway died on Friday at the age of 60. This just a day after there were reports that the ‘Grease’ star was to be taken off of oxygen. Conway was known for this roles on ‘Taxi’ and as T-Bird Kenickie in ‘Grease’. He has had battles with substance abuse and been in and out of rehab.
Conway was reportedly checked into a hospital in LA on May 11. Sources say that he had no brain activity as of May 26 and the feeding tube had been removed as of last Thursday afternoon.
Conway was married twice, once to Olivia Newton John’s sister Rona from 1980 to 1985, then to Kerri Young in 1990. In 2008, he was on ‘Celebrity Rehab’ to attempt to take care of his drug and alcohol addiction. Later that year, he told Howard Stern he had attempted suicide many times. He told Stern, “I’ve tried to commit suicide 21 times. I’m terrible at it! I get depressed over how come I can’t kill myself. Mostly it’s been with pills. I’ve taken enough pills to knock an elephant out … God wants me on this planet for some reason or another.”
In 2009, he told sources, ” I think people are just enamored with other people’s problems because they have enough of their own, and they want to stop thinking about their own and think about somebody else’s for a while. I think that’s what television is all about, really.”
Then this year, he went in for help for prescription drug overdose. Then sources say he was suffering from pneumonia and sepsis, which is a dangerous blood infection.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez on vacation together.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been on vacation together with their families in Hawaii this week. The couple was not trying to hide their feelings from anyone in Maui.
The two were spotted kissing on the beach trails and making out in the water. Gomez, 18 and Bieber, 17, have been enjoying themselves while on vacation by parasailing and jet skiing with their families.
Bieber recently got a tattoo on the left side of his torso that says ‘Jesus’ in Hebrew. He had already gotten a seagull tattoo on his lower torso.
