A Slap-Fight for Rumer Willis

Last night’s ESPY awards ended in what looks to me like a slap fight gone awry, when two random schmucks decided they’d step in as Rumer Willis’ body guards and defend her against the eeeeevil paparazzi. TMZ reports:

“According to witnesses on scene, one of the men allegedly tripped a photographer who was attempting to take pix of the star. As the stunned shutterbug got up and tried to identify the culprit, we’re told another friend of the wannabe-bodyguards grabbed the photog by the head and slammed him to the ground head first, knocking him out and causing convulsions…The snapper was rushed to a hospital, where he was treated for three cracked ribs, a possibly dislocated shoulder and a concussion”.

This is some serious good-Samaritan body-guard action here. While my heart goes out to the guy who ended up convulsing on the concrete, I’d like to note that the slap fight epicenter is like 30 feet from where he’s down, and that it takes the entirety of the clip for some genius to finally decide to call an ambulance.

Who needs John McClane as a dad when you’ve got these guys?
