Alicia Marie and Candice Houlihan: A-Rod’s Lady Friends

As it always seems to go with spotlight divorces filled with scandal, two more women have spoken up about their relationship with Yankee Alex Rodriguez.

Contestant number one is Candice Houlihan. Houlihan is a former stripper who met A-Rod at a game in 2004 while she was there with some girlfriends. She says there was a bit of boozing and then they hit the sack.

“It was killing me and I felt bad afterwards,” she told the Boston Herald. “I’m not a bad person. I know how it feels to be cheated on, it sucks. But a couple of drinks later, I didn’t notice all that much, to tell you the truth.”

It wasn’t until the next day that she found out via her friends and Google that his wife was pregnant. Houlihan and A-Rod got together one more time after he called while in town for the American League Championship Series.

Houlihan likes to put a positive spin on it and says she “reversed the curse.” (The Boston Red Sox went on to win the world series after beating the Yankees and it was the first championship win in 86 years.)

Contestant number two is fitness model Alicia Marie. Marie’s accounts of her time with the slugger aren’t as damning as Houlihan’s but they still don’t help his divorce case.

Marie tells The New York Daily News that A-Rod frequently visited her apartment to lend a sympathetic ear “when I had just gone through a separation and divorce.”

“I am well aware that people will assume the absolute worst here, but Alex was, and to this day remains, just a close friend,” says Marie. “Friends hang out together in each other’s apartments!”

So you be the judge. Attention seekers or just airing dirty laundry to help Cynthia’s case? That was Houlihan’s claim but it seems a little too convenient to speak your mind now.

Regardless, Cynthia it looks like you made the right call to dump this loser.
