Amy Poehler: Welcomes First Son
Talk about working right up until you pop out a kid! Amy Poehler was all set to appear on this week’s Saturday Night Live but instead headed to the hospital to deliver her and husband Will Arnett’s first baby.
Poehler gave birth to an 8 lbs., 1 oz. baby boy on Saturday and they have named him Archie Arnett.
Seth Myers, Poehler’s co-anchor on Weekend Update, announced the exciting news on the show telling the audience, “Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she’s having a baby.”
“On behalf of Amy and Will, I can confirm that Amy gave birth to Archie Arnett on Saturday, October 25th,” Amy’s rep confirmed in a statement this morning.
“Amy, Will and Archie are all healthy and resting comfortably.”
