Angelina doesn’t want you to smell like Shiloh
A French perfumer has finally won the right to name his perfume Shiloh and market it. Apparently for five months Angelina Jolie has been in a legal battle in order to challenge the trademark application. She lost the battle last month and he is legally allowed to start selling his earthy perfume titled after Angelina and Brad’s 13-month old child.
Why would she even throw a fit over someone calling their perfume the same name as her child. It’s not like he was trying to use her as a gimmick. Supposedly he’s had this name for 2 years now. That’s just silly. So if someone wants to name their pants Angelina she fight them in court to? Get real.
One thing to keep in mind when we’re talking about famous folks is that it’s typically their team of lawyers calling the shots and not the celebrity in particular. After all, that’s what those lawyers get the big bucks for, right? I’m not saying that’s the case here - only Angelina & her lawyers know that but it’s not right on to assume it was her call.
you’re a fucking moron. it’s a well-settled principle of law that attorneys cannot act without the consent of their clients. “blanket” consent forms are completely illegal. (i.e., you can’t just say “i authorize you to go out and sue whatever the fuck you want”)
we all know that celebrities are fucking retards. teams of lawyers are not. they’re good people, and they deserve to profit from the soulless mindless dribble that is celebrity pandering.
