Avril Lavigne is a Big Fat PHONY

Avril LavigneAvril Lavigne is getting sued for copyright infringement. A group of songwriters are claiming that her current musical abortion, “Girlfriend” sounds suspiciously like a song they performed in the 70’s.

Why would you admit that? Sure, you might make a couple extra bucks, but now everyone thinks that you have the song-writing skills of a toddler. Remember sk8er boi? I’m sure she didn’t write that piece of crap either but i don’t see anyone rushing to take credit for it. Pick your battles, people.

      You (sakuracoola & other comment people who love Avril) just can’t face the fact that Avril sucks. I hate her music and her dumb girlfriend song. It doesn’t matter if the music doesn’t sound the same, sometimes if you just change the lyrics slightly it is copyright. Avril deserves this! sakuracoola can’t accept the truth and uses bad language; immature.

      mkay so apparently avril did plagerise,
      i dont know if i believe this! And i’m not
      defending either the rubinoos or avri lavigne.
      its probably the fact that the part of the
      lyrics by the rubinoos says “i wanna be your
      boyfriend” and avrils says “i want to be your
      girlfriend” :/ apparently avril copied 2 other
      songs?

      I knew Avril when she was just a kid in Napanee going to school with my nephew. She is a great gal and can sing better than most of to-days so called stars! If you have to use fowl language to make a point go back to school looser!

      sometimes you just never know if something you do has been done by anyone else since so much has been done already. it could be a coincidence and it might not be, but that part of avril’s song does sound similar..

      I don’t think she stole that certain song, but she should be sued anyway. She IS a phony, and she does NOT write most parts of her own songs. She stole the song “Contagious” from Chantal Kreviazuk, apparently, and I do believe that since there’s proof. For this, I disrespect her greatly, as I am a girl who has been writing her own songs since she was eight years old. And when I was eight…I still wrote better songs then she does. It’s pretty sad. She used to be a good artist, but I guess the fame got to her.
