Barry Manilow backing out of The View
Tomorrow, Barry Manilow was set to make an appearance on “The View”. He is currently on tour to promote a “Greatest Songs of the Seventies,” album. However, Barry has decided not to go on the show because he doesn’t agree with a certain person’s political views. And no it isn’t Whoopi that he disagrees with, it’s Elisabeth Hasselback.
TMZ got an exclusive statement from Barry himself who said, “I strongly disagree with her views. I think she’s dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her.”
Dangerous and offensive, that’s some pretty harsh words for little defenseless Elisabeth Hasselback. And rumor has it that Meredith Viera will be returning to “The View” as well.
Barry, Barry, Barry, what are you hiding? Are you so afraid, and insecure to think that Elizabeth will intimidate you? Can’t you handle yourself? Were you there to promote your music or discuss politics? Apparently you are angry because you asked “The View” several weeks ago to have anyone BUT Elizabeth interview you and they agreed. However, now that they have changed their mind, you are “scared” of Elizabeth? Wow what publicity you are getting! I don’t think you “played your cards right” this time buddy.
Barry should man up and do the interview.

I think that Barry is right in standing up for his cause. Elizabeth thinks she knows everything and doesn’t even watch the news, or read a newspaper. She doesn’t know squat about anything. The show should be called Elizabeth’s View, because she shoots everyone down. Rosie should have stayed on the show, and Elizabeth should have been kicked off.
I don’t care if anyone takes an offense.
