Bernie Mac: Funeral Video
Bernie Mac’s funeral attracted more than 6,000 friends, family and fans of the late comic on Saturday at Chicago’s House of Hope Church.
The Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley, comedian Chris Rock, Rev. Jesse Jackson, D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer and Samuel L. Jackson were among the famous names in attendance at the service to remember Mac’s 50 years of life.
“He never turned down that kid for an autograph,” said Jackson, Mac’s co-star in the upcoming movie Soul Men. “He always had time to shake a hand. He was always that kid from Chicago who wanted to make everybody happy and everybody laugh.”
