Bernie Mac: Loses Battle With Pneumonia

So first it was just a hospitalization with pneumonia, then he died, then he was recovering, now reports are that Bernie Mac passed away Saturday at the age of 50.

Mac died Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital, his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles. She said no other details were available.

He grew up in Chicago, honing his craft by telling jokes for spare change on the subway and then began to get small movie roles like in 1992’s Mo’ Money.

Mac showcased his talents by keeping the audiences of Ocean’s Eleven, The Bernie Mac Show and The Original Kings of Comedy always laughing.
