Birkheads battle with lawyer
Larry Birkhead, the late Anna Nicole’s ex and Dannielynn’s biological father is butting heads with his former lawyer. Birkhead is suing Opri (his lawyer) for fraud, legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty. Supposedly Birkhead said that Opri offered to do his paternity case for free of which Opri responded, “I don’t work for free. I just don’t. I can’t afford it.”
Instead of working for free, Opri decided it was best to charge Birkhead for bills such as $1,500 a month publicist, $96,000 in cell phone calls and the $119 emails.
Who charges people for emails??? And $96,000 in phone calls, get real. What was he doing calling the Vatican everyday to talk to the Pope for hours on end. Is that even possible to rack up a phone bill that big. Opri’s ass is going through the grinder when this case goes to court. And already, two weeks ago the judge granted Birkhead’s request for a prelimenary injunction requiring Opri to return $591,250 of Birkhead’s money.

No doubt that Opri was gouging Larry as far as her legal “fees” were concerned. The judge’s was right to take the money and set it aside until the case is sorted out. But I think we all know that if and when Larry gets his money back its going straight into the war chest to get the money he thinks his daughter is somehow entitled to.
