Bobby Fischer Dead At 64

Bobby Fischer, former world chess champion, is dead at the age of 64.
Fischer died in Iceland, after having moved there in 2005. He was critical of the United States in his life, and had renounced his citizenship.
He became US chess champion at the age of 14, and a Grand Master at the age of 15. Fischer was a huge symbol of the Cold War, after taking the World Chess Championship crown from the Soviet Union’s Boris Spassky in 1972.
Fischer somewhat fell out of favor after making a series of bizarre anti-semitic comments (especially bizarre because his mother was actually Jewish).

takes a million more brain cells to win at chess than to direct a movie, or sing a rock/rap song.
Bobby Fischer is one legend of a chess hero. He is the pride of the west and the world as far as chess is concerned. Besides his eccentricities, he is the pride of the game of chess. He has the likings of Paul Murphy another American chess world champion of his time. The chess fans all over the world mourns for the demise of a chess prodigy in the person of Bobby Fischer. I believe now that he is no longer with us and has joined the heavenly creator, the west must now forgive him for his unique manners and behaviors after all, Bobby Fischer, chess and the U.S.A. are akin to each other.
