Bonnie Somerville: Robbed At Gunpoint, Friend Shot
Actress Bonnie Somerville, best known for her role as Mona, Ross’ girlfriend on the eighth season of Friends, was robbed at gunpoint after the T-Mobile G1 launch party on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood last night and her male companion was shot.
The two walked to the valet parking area around 2am to get their car when they were held up at gunpoint by two assailants who demanded money.
The guy with Somerville (her boyfriend? her friend?) argued with the would be robbers and was shot in the back with a .22 caliber handgun.
The attackers then fled the scene in a tan colored sports utility vehicle after the unsuccessful robbery and are still at large.
Somerville’s friend was rushed to the hospital, is listed in good condition and his identity has not been revealed.
The actress’ publicist plans on making a statement at the end of the weekend.
