Britney Spears: Job Offers Pour In…Finally!
Trainwreck of the past few years, Ms. Britney Spears, is seemingly finding a way back to a normal life at last. After her appearance Monday on How I Met Your Mother, rumor is that Brit did such a good job that CBS wants to do a spin off sitcom that will feature the pop star. Britney has also reportedly been offered the lead role in an upcoming production of A Streetcar Named Desire on Britain’s West End Theater District. “Britney’s been on the list for this for some time but was considered too risky until recently,” an insider spills to the British tabs. “Her appearance in the American TV?show How I Met Your Mother changed all that. She had poise, timing and a real flair.”
“We’d wanted her for Blanche because even though she’s technically too young to play her, who else could embody this fallen Southern Belle so well? Britney’s done it all in her career – from being desired beyond all others to facing ridicule that she can’t quite understand – pure Blanche.”

Geez, one bit part in a sitcom, where the only expectation was that she get through her lines without falling over or flashing her crotch, and suddenly she’s Ms. Great Actress? I call bullshit, and I’m pretty much certain that neither of these things will ever happen. On the offchance that they do, they will likely be disasters — Particularly live theatre! (Will she lip-synch to a pre-recorded part?!)
