Britney Spears: Not Headed to Broadway Thanks to Dad
Even though a lot of people think that Britney Spears is on the path to recovery in her personal and professional life, nervous pop Jamie Spears doesn’t want to push her too far too fast.
According to Life & Style Magazine, Jamie Spears forced Britney to turn down the role of “Sandy” in the New York production of Grease because he doesn’t feel that she’s quite ready.
“He still fears she’s going through a lot and isn’t ready to handle anything on her own.”
“Britney was in serious talks to be the new Sandy in the show Grease,” one Great White Way insider says.
“She wanted to do it, but her dad, Jamie, said no….Jamie promised the producers that when she’s ready, they would be back to work out a deal.”
Jamie Spears is still the guardian of Brit’s estate and apparently makes all the business decisions too.
I think a little Broadway would do the fallen star some good.
