Britney Spears is on the list of possible nominees to win an Emmy. Yeah, she made headlines with her two guest appearances on How I Met Your Mother and apparently raked in the viewers but seriously, an Emmy?

Spears has her name on a list of 41 actresses who are all up for a nomination to win an Emmy and the list will be whittled down closer to the ceremony in September.

It makes sense now as to why Katherine Heigl pulled out of the race to win another Emmy. Not only would a Britney win outshine Heigl, it would probably also piss off the outspoken actress.
