Shriver scares me the most. Courtney Love’s photos are old-she dropped 45 pounds in a couple of months and jacked her face up with plastic surgery since those photos were snapped.
Kate winslet, Katherine McPhee, Kirsten Dunst, Melanie Griffith, Uma Thurman, they all have on some makeup (mascara at least) , just not a lot, Those don’t count!
about %80 are still wearing makeup, just light makeup. seriously, just wearing eyeliner and eyeshadow and lip gloss still counts as makeup. also, it’s not makeup it’s a lot lighting and processing that makes stars look good.
some of these people actually aren’t wearing makeup. but a bunch of them ARE, maybe everything except thick eyeliner. making an awkward face does not count as not wearing makeup

Oh my Gosh, does makeup make that big of a difference? I had it backwards - didn’t they start out looking natural with all the makeup? And no makeup looks unnatural? Hmmmm, poor girls, must be difficult to start out looking great, where do you go from there? They should all start really natural, no add ons, no makeup, strictly on their own looks and then add all the other stuff. Then they can only look better.

most of the celebrities dont look so bad. only the ones that wear so much make up look very different. sometimes the very little differences like cover up make or your hair lipstick ect. make you look different.

Tween and Teen girls should view these photos so they can see the reality versus the fantasy. These are real people with all the foibles and warts the the rest of us have. They should be accepted the way they are and perhaps, it’s our and Hollywood’s perceptions of women that need changing. Many women seem to fall prey to their self-inflicted diffidence regarding their appearance when compared to and contrasted with an illusion. Confidence is sexy and alluring. Fantasy is not - at least to me.

This is what people are supposed to look like without makeup. Of course some look better and some look worse. Uma Thurman looks fresh. Avril Lavigne is horrible either way. Come on!!! Gisele TOTALLY has makeup on, so does Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet and Katie Couric. I doubt that all of them are without makeup, but some of the ladies look like they’ve been out partying all night and rolled out of bed to get some food and coffee. I am absolutely appalled at how bad things really are. These celebrities don’t look “ugly”. They look like regular people that you would see on the street.
Looking over the comments that people have left, saying that they are ugly - do you all look glamorous all the time? The media has people so brainwashed! Those professional photos that you see are not even real! They are covered in make up, adjusted lighting and then processed through the computer to “adjust any flaws”.
I am part of a group that helps build self-esteem for young women. I don’t think people realise how serious this inane judgemental view on people’s images is. People have become brainwashed that beauty has to be perfection. The flawless skin, the small nose, the pouty lips, the big boobs and impossibly thin body. I have to re-train these girls every day and show them the reality of what celebrities look like without the gloss and trickery. It is a comfort to them to see these natural pictures because it makes them see that celebrities look no different in real life. Please, people. Don’t be so gullible to a lie that is the media. This kind of mindset is killing your children. I’m doing something to try and stop these girls from feeling inadequate and starving themselves to death just so that they can look like somebody who doesn’t exist. Wake up.

There’s a difference between an unflattering photo (poor quality + angle shot + lighting) and a beautiful photo without makeup. Cosmetics doesn’t automatically make a person look ‘gorgeous’. It depends on how and where it is applied including the colors you are using.
Apparently, most folks need to learn the basics about photography and make-up before they make a judgment.
Think of it this way. Take Maria Shriver (who is still wearing makeup in that photo) for an example. Who looks beautiful when they appear enraged like a wild beast?
These are obviously just bad photos. Celebs are what the media magic makes them, anyway. Spears got famous because she was so malleable — she’ll do anything, clearly. A lot of these women look like they are ready to rumble, which alters our perception. Eve looks worse to me in her done-up photos showing the pawprint tats on her breasts — very streetwalker. Charlize looks like a no-neck football player with a guppy expression, but she kind of always does. Maybe she’s just muscular, with a blondie-feature face. Whoever Brooke Hogan is, she has a thick, trailer-park look — she could be the next Britney. And Pink just looks like a thug, as usual (and acts like one). All the above have little talent. Barbara Streisand is a master vocalist, and she never tried to pass herself off as the conventional beauty queen. Her bone structure is very interesting, and she doesn’t look surgically altered. What is Maria Shriver doing, though? Picking barbecue out of her teeth with a business card? What a bad moment to snap a photo. Makeup doesn’t matter — Gisele looks great (and she is wearing cosmetics) because she’s SMILING.

I realize that celebrity women do not look glamorous all the time, I also realize that most of the time they do not look like the photos that we see in magazines I understand that those are usually distortions. However I also feel that what we see above are also distortions Tthe above photos are not how they look all the time without there makeup. These are photos of them looking there worst. What we have done is we have traded one form of distortion for another type of distortion. I believ that most of the time they look better than what we see above. To cheery pich the pictures where they are at their worst is as much an injustice as when they are looking there best. To replace one form of of extremist distortion with another does not equal justice.

let’s face the facts here! 95% of the time when a person has either a mixture of black,white,spanish or perhaps only black,they will look good without makeup.Also if the person is only white, but not too pale they might be able to get away with it.Examples: Hallie berry is white and black. I am putting in a request. I would like one of these “celebrities without makeup” websites to distinguish itself from the others by showing only celebrities without makeup. Not unflattering photos of celebrities caught in mid-grimace. Not photos of celebrities with basic mascara, lip tint, and eyeshadow, where they usually have makeup professionally caked on. The celebrities should be separated by age group: those in their 20s, 30s, 40s, etc. in order to help the gloating morons among us acknowledge the reasonable effects of time. I know there’s nothing monumental at stake here. It’s just people would simply like to see that they’re not alone in getting zits, aging, etc. That’s reasonable. Pandering to people’s freaky sexism and misanthropy, however, is just increasing the ugliness in the world.

Yeah, most people fall in love with the glamorous celebrity with makeup. And makeup can make all the difference. I remember seeing a Julia Roberts documentary where they were trekking through a jungle somewhere, and I had a hard time believing she was the same person I had watched in movies and pictures. Without make up she looked so so incredibly plain.

These so-called “without makeup” photos of celebrities are not all really photos of celebrities without makeup because they are all wearing mascara and some of them like Julie Roberts are wearing a little eyeshadow and mascara. Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Melanie Griffith, Julia Roberts and many others are wearing mascara even if you can’t see it in the photographs. Mascara can mean the difference between beautiful eyes or not so beautiful eyes in a photograph or in person.
Most of these women are still wearing make up, you can so tell. I think this is great that they posted something like this because women r trying to be “celebrity like” but celebrities are human and they look just like us..or even worse…lolll and if we wore that much make up and had our hair done and got tanned up everyday, most of us would look better then they do.

How awful it must be to have to live your life in a fishbowl. These poor ladies can’t even step out to their mailbox without someone taking their picture. Whenever they have to appear on camera, they have make-up people and stylists working on them. Kelly Rippa, Oprah, and the ladies on The View have said that they have to be on the set a couple hours early in order to look the way they do on their shows. I notice that most of the stars who received favorable comments are young. Age is no friend to anyone who has to live their life in the public eye. Which is exactly why many of them have plastic surgery–trying to recapture their youth.
I love these pictures. It’s nice to see the real people behind all the Hollywood glamour. And I think all of these photos are beautiful.
These pictures make me feel great. I think we need to show more pictures of actors and actresses with and without makeup. Young girls need to realize that the women they idolize and wish they were are just a product of good light and a mask of makeup. Seriously think about this. How many times have you actually seen yhe highschool hotties enrolled in drama class? Some here and there but very few. The hotties sign up for cheerleading or they are too busy because they are out with their boyfriends after school.
Most of the girls who sign up for these classes are dweeves. Ugly ducklings with nothing else to do because guys are not asking them out on dates. Many are the girls who stay home on prom night or they attend with other girls alone or with nerdy male students.
They then go onto college, where luckily some of them will get noticed for their acting ability and they end up in Hollywood. The makeup covers up the fact they’re not much too look at. It is not hard for Hollywood to work on their bodies, thinning them down and helping with fake breasts, but the face is always there. So makeup is the cure. It’s the mask that many have to wear and it fools a many of gullible people out there on the other side of the screen.

We always say that the pictures we see in magazines are touched up by the photographs…but I’m not sure that the pictures we see of the actress not wearing makeup are so real, I think a lot of modifications are done to show them worst than they are in reality.

The best thing that you can do for yourself is -> Don’t wear make-up unless you really have to otherwise its gonna be just as bad for you and you can enjoy putting more and more onto your crackled face as the years go by. Girls have a tendency to call boys, guys, men, ugly. Many of the men they call ugly do not (and i don’t condone men wearing makeup personally, thats a bit hows it going for me) wear makeup. Little do they think about all the make-up they apply themselves, covering up blotches, bumps, specks, discolouration and the numerous other apparent “problems” that make them individual, for its taken that girls wear make-up. How many of you are really as good looking as you think after you remove all the concealer. What exactly are you trying to conceal….and more importantly, how many of those guys you call, ugly, not good looking, whatever floats your boat when you’re out with your girlfriends, are wearing concealer themselves. Men dont wear concealer…so who’s the ugly. Ugly is an ugly word, not because it makes you look ugly to the people around you when you say it but also because it shows that you’re simple and base enough to judge someone especially in a negative way on first appearances when its blatently obvious that you use make-up to cover up your “flaws”.

We see beautiful flawless women who are sexier,skinnier, or more busty than we will ever be. The only thing that will fix our “flaws” is extensive surgeries. I know, nobody is perfect. Still, our society shows us, and tells us what “beauty” is. Who says my low forehead is ugly? I happen to be considered beautiful to many people, and my face and body are not “picture perfect”. So, really, some women look at this to feel better about themselves. Its quite sad,actually. It’s not the celebrities’ fault, but they do able this confidence stealer. So, some women and teens look at these to see the truth, and to not feel so bad.

Actually they do not ALL look bad. They are human. Makeup is meant to ENHANCE your features so some of them without make up do not look that bad… Most of the people who dare to comment on how “bad” they look probably need to look in the mirror themselves first. When you do what they do and the hours they do it then you might not have the perfect skin either, but I promise you that some of these people actually have natural beauty… Do not get caught up with what Hollywood tries to make you think is the norm because NO ONE really looks perfect there is no such thing!
Kate Winslet looks bare faced and she looks fine, so does Katie Holmes, a few of the others do too. It’s what’s INSIDE that counts anyway. I am a pretty woman but I take terrible pictures (and I don’t like having my picture taken) but you all will just have to rip me apart sight unseen, (isn’t this why these pics are up here?) I’m not famous, so I’m safe from you all (thank God) Women should support each other, not try to tear each other down.

Some of them are pretty scary indeed but that’s because we’re so used to the ‘face’ they put on for us normally. Most women don’t look the same with makeup, some of them look worse with it however. Katie Holmes looked a lot better and younger with less make up and these younger actresses are fine, their still babies and have no sags.

OMG!!! some people was REALLY fake! It wasn´t Heidi Klum, and not Cher either! It was an another person, It´s totally fake, and Avril Lavigne too, It is only persons who is look-a-like celebrities, not everyone, Hilary Duff, Pink, Penelpe Cruz (she is younger on the picture), Uma Thurman, Victoria Beckham and some more, they were NOT fake, but the rest was TOTALLY fake, it´s really easy to made this fake pictures.
I think a page like this makes everyone a little bit happy and triumphant that some of the personalities they see on tv are not all they are cracked up to be. I for example, absolutely hate Avril, Jessica Simpson and Courtney Love.. I believe that they are all very fake and have no talent, when their outsides start to match their spoiled insides its this funny sort of karma you can’t help but to enjoy. On the other hand, I believe that some of the other celebrities, Charliez, Drew, Uma etc. look beautiful with and without makeup, inside and out.

Try wearing full makeup (concealor, foundation, eye makeup &lip color) EVERYDAY for a year. Then, stop wearing it. And Let’s see how you look.

Trade secret…maay of these girls did used to look good and have nice skin, years of make-up and the affect of all the chemicals present in them on and off the face all the time leaves its mark. Sadly, many of these girls ate well, led relatively healthy lifestyles and yet this is the direct. How many of you are really as good looking as you think after you remove all the concealer. What exactly are you trying to conceal….and more importantly, how many of those guys you call, ugly, not good looking, whatever floats your boat when you’re out with your girlfriends, are wearing concealer themselves. Men dont wear concealer…so who’s the ugly. I agree that they are all beautiful women. They are not Gods. This is one of the problems in society today, people seem to think that these people should be above reproach and that they should not look human underneath the makeup.
I didn’t wear makeup for 10 years, but since i’m in a society where every other girl is wearing makeup, it puts me at a disadvantage socially. People say “oh you shouldn’t be with a guy who cares about makeup” but what i’ve noticed is that guys are really clueless! They will point out someone who supposedly wears no makeup, and that person has eyeliner, lipstick, foundation, etc. all on! Guys and girls are facially different in structure, but they aren’t THAT different…so makeup exaggerates these differences…more pink lips, more even skin, etc. So if you see a girl with eyes or lips that couldn’t belong on a guy, she is wearing makeup. I wear makeup at parties…people ask me how i became so hot all of a sudden…uhhh i have the same face! it actually makes me more insecure. so the best thing is to wear minimal makeup, that way when you find a guy, he isn’t disappointed and won’t have unrealistic expectations.

Aren’t we all uglier without makeup? I think it is VERY shallow of all of you to call these celebrities ugly, when before you seen this you called them beautiful. Makeup enhances everybody’s looks, and brings out their best, NATURAL features. I’m sure none of you are even pretty compared to these stars without makup! Dont be jealous, all of these women are gorgeous - with or without makeup.

I have seen Rachel Hunter up close (we were on the same flight to London one time), and she is definitely very average looking without make-up.

Well, the lighting, and the expression on their face, has a big impact. There are a few of these that don’t look too bad — Jennifer Lopez, Jeniffer Love Hewitt, Jessica Alba, look ok. Jessica Simpson just got caught with a funny expression.
