Christian Bale: Denies Assault of Mom and Sister
His movie The Dark Knight was a box office smash, but Christian Bale’s personal problems might overshadow his excitement.
Apparently, a family argument on Sunday evening caused Bale to assault his sister Sharon, 40, and mom Jenny,61, and they in turn reported the incident to the police on Monday.
Bale was still allowed to attend press meetings and the premiere for The Dark Knight but then headed to the police station on Tuesday.
His rep says, “Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister.
Mr. Bale, who denies the allegation, cooperated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police.
At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale.”
Bale is set to return to the police station in September pending further inquiries into two allegations of assault.
At least Bale got to attend the movie premiere but what a dark night it must have been for him. Haha.
