Christie Brinkley: Settlement Reached

After an all-night negotiating session, a settlement was reached in Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook’s bitter divorce on Thursday morning.

Brinkley has received custody of their kids, 13-year-old Jack and 10-year-old Sailor, with Cook being able to spend time with them on the terms they have agreed upon and she also gets the ownership of their 18 Hamptons properties. Cook has received $2.1 million.

Brinkley had this to say after she came out of the court room:“It really is the death of a marriage, but it’s also, I think, a new start for all of us and I’m very pleased with the results today.

I think a mother’s greatest fear is somebody trying to take her children. That’s what I was up against. And so I’ve won custody and decision-making, and that’s really all I ever wanted.”

Good for her. I’m glad this divorce didn’t drag on forever since that would mean more unnecessary publicity for the Cook affair girl.

I still can’t believe a guy would cheat on someone as hot as Christie Brinkley!
