Christie Hefner: To Step Down From CEO of Playboy

Hugh Hefner’s daughter, 56-year-old Christie Hefner, has held the top spot as chairwoman and CEO for the last 20 years and today she announced that she will step down next month.

Hefner didn’t give a reason for leaving saying only, “just as this country is embracing change in the form of new leadership, I have decided that now is the time to make changes in my own life as well.”

The Playboy Enterprise has been hit hard along with a lot of media companies and stocks went as low as $1.03 while they were just under $10 this time last year.
