David Archuleta: Recruited for “High School Musical 3″
Zac Efron move over. There’s a new heartthrob in town. Disney is trying to get it’s paws on the American Idol runner-up for it’s third installment of the popular High School Musical.
The studio is hoping to get Archuleta for a small cameo in the movie that hits the big screen in October.
The only slight hiccup in the plan is that Idol pretty much owns the 17-year-old until September and the contract doesn’t allow for anything non-Idol.
It’ll be a tough fight…..but insiders say the tricky deal just might be worked out because Disney, Fox and Cowell recognize the fantastic cross-promotion that could generate Big Buck$$, The National Enquirer reports.
