Dominick Dunne dies at 83

Dominick Dunne, 83, died after a long battle with bladder cancer. His career included reporting on the trials and tribulations of the rich and famous, writing for Vanity Fair, TV Executive, WWII Bronze Star recipient (Battle of the Bulge), and a hell of a lot more.
In a recent documentary, he also talks about his daughter, Dominique Dunne, 22, who was murdered by her former boyfriend (John Sweeney) on her front steps. Sweeney was convicted of voluntary manslaughter, and served only 4 years out of a six year sentence. Once released, Dunne, spent hours on end telling employers, landlords, and neighbors about Sweeney’s crime. Sweeney eventually left LA and moved North.
