Ellen DeGeneres: Dream Wedding Plans

Ellen DeGeneres must be floating on cloud nine right about now. She nabbed her fourth consecutive win for Outstanding Talk Show Host at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday and is planning her “dream wedding.”

DeGeneres,50, who has been dating Portia de Rossi, 35, since 2004, announced shortly after California’s Supreme Court ruling that the previous ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional that she would wed de Rossi.

The two have set a date and are working out the details for their wedding. DeGeneres wouldn’t say much about the general details of the big day other than “incredible people” will be performing and that part of the ceremony will be on her show.

With the big day approaching, DeGeneres doesn’t sound a bit nervous.

“I can’t wait to be married. I feel like it is long overdue,” she said. “And I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous like we all don’t have the same rights.”
