Erin Andrew’s stalker gets 30 months in Federal Prison

ESPN’s Erin Andrews gets some vindication as a judge sentences her stalker to 30 months in jail. Michael David Barrett, 48, received the maximum of 30 months in prison after pleading guilty of interstate stalking. Prosecutors accused him of following Andrews to at least three cities and videotaping her through hotel peepholes while she was naked. He would then post them to the internet.
Erin Andrews was not his only victim. According to a sentencing memo filed last month, he also stalked 16 other victims in the same manner.
Barrett made an apology in court saying, “There are no words to tell Ms. Andrews how sorry I am for what I’ve done to her — I hope someday she can forgive me.” Andrews scoffed at his appology and said, “You violated me and you violated all women. You are a sexual predator, a sexual deviant and they should lock you up.”
More charges could come for Michael Barrett in the future.
