Former “Bachelorette” Jen Schefft: Engaged!

Jen Schefft thought she had found happily after when she appeared on season 3 of The Bachelor and was given the final rose by Andrew Firestone.

Unfortunately, the two broke up and she returned to be The Bachelorette to try her luck with a new selection of guys. That didn’t end happily either when she chose Jerry Ferris but then rejected his proposal saying there was no chemistry.

Schefft has now found chemistry with Joe Waterman and this guy didn’t woo her with roses.

The couple were set up by one of Schefft’s previous blind dates with whom she didn’t click.

“I figured I had to go out with Joe since I’d never been set up by someone I’d already gone on a date with,” she explains.

The couple had their first date in February and have now officially announced their engagement.

“We really get each other,” Schefft says of Waterman, 35, a trader. “I guess it’s true things move fast when you meet the right person.”

They plan to marry in Chicago in 2009.
