“Friends” Movie: Coming Soon
After seeing the success the Sex and the City movie had at the box office, Friends may be the next TV show headed to the big screen.
It looks like the reason that the movie hasn’t been made up until now is because of Jennifer Aniston being afraid the role would stereotype her as an actress in movies and that her fame may be too much for the role.
“What’s held back a Friends movie so far is that people worried that Jennifer had simply become to famous to play Rachel again….But the truth is that Jennifer is finally willing to do it, and she’d love to work with that whole team of actors and producers again.”
OK fine, Jen but a TON of people watched you as that character and you made bucco bucks so maybe a stereotype is what your film career is missing. Your fame isn’t really coming from your movies.
The rest of the cast, presumably because they are bored and want to make ridiculous amounts of money again, are all game for the idea and a Hollywood insider predicts the big screen version to hit theaters within 18 months.
“Timing and the script are really important, but now that Courteney and Jen both have production companies, they can potentially get very involved in those decisions.”
They are a lovable cast and audiences that loved being reunited with the Sex and the City gals will hop on this bandwagon too.
