German Musician Knowingly Exposed Her Lovers to HIV

Nadja Benaissa, 28, from the German girl-band ‘No Angels’ confessed to exposing two of her lovers to HIV. She confessed to the crime and was convicted of “grievous bodily harm.” While she could have faced up to ten years in jail, she was given a two-year suspended sentence because she had confessed and expressed remorse. She must also perform 300 hours of community service and go to regular counseling sessions. Benaissa told the court, “I made a huge mistake.” She also said “I was a coward. I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could turn back the clock and make it all not happen.”
