Heavy Metal Movie

South Park last night played hilarious homage to Heavy Metal, a 1981 Canadian animated film. Just look at that film poster, it kind of tells you most of what you need to know, but the plot was basically a collection of stories from Heavy Metal magazine.

And of course there was a ton of blood, nudity, and violence, so it was right up South Park’s alley. Even if Trey and Matt couldn’t actually show us the major boobage. The episode also included songs from the film: Don Felder’s “Heavy Metal (Takin’ a Ride)”, Riggs’s “Radar Rider”, and Sammy Hagar’s song “Heavy Metal”.
