Hulk Hogan’s Son: Headed to Jail for Wreck Severely Injuring John Graziano

Nick Bollea, the 17-year-old son of old school wrestler Hulk Hogan, was sentenced to 8 months in county jail today stemming from a car wreck in August of last year. Bollea was the driver of the car that wrecked and was said to be speeding and racing another car when the crash took place in Clearwater, Florida. He was also cited for having alcohol in his system under the age of 21 and his blood alcohol was reportedly .02.

His passenger, 22-year-old John Graziano, is still currently in the hospital in a semiconscious state after suffering severe head injuries in the wreck. Bollea pleaded no contest to the charge of reckless driving with serious bodily harm and was met with a serious reality check when the judge sentenced him to 8 months in county jail, 5 years probabtion, 500 hours of community service and a suspended driver’s license for the next 3 years.

The family of John Graziano felt that Bollea deserved some jail time and they are now in the process of suing the family for millions of dollars to help with the medical care their son will need for the rest of his life.

Some wondered how serious Bollea took the whole incident when he reportedly seemed bored at the hospital when visiting Graziano and was even said to be skateboarding in the halls. He showed little emotion during the trial and even when being taken away to jail in handcuffs.

The question many are asking is how much the celebrity parent factored into the judge’s decision and how the whole case was handled. I’m glad to see he got a pretty severe sentence because I understand that the medical costs will be huge and we’ll see how much money the family will get from the Hogans/Bolleas. Looks like Hulk will need to squeeze back into his trademark yellow and red spandex and make some more money to pay the family.
