Ja Rule is mad at MTV

Ja Rule was recently interviewed for an article in Complex magazine. And low and behold, he’s rather pissed off at the MTV network for airing all the shows that “promote” gays and lesbians.
“We need to go step to Paramount, and ****ing MGM, and all of these other mother****ers that’s making all of these movies.
“We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these ****ing shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can’t watch this ****.
“Dating shows that’s showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let’s talk about **** like that! If that’s not ****ing up America, I don’t know what is.”

While I agree with the sentiment, the irony is not lost that his music is also messing up American youth. I’d like to see him protest himself as well. And no one wants to see teenage boys kiss. Any time of day.
Wow, someone really needs some attention, huh? Guess what Ja Rule: MTV shows are trash whether they depict homosexuality or not. “Date My Mom”? Trash. “Next”? Trash. “Any Ja Rule Song”? Trash.
Better pack up the kids and move to someplace where the big, nasty ol’ gays won’t threaten your wholesome values system.
So long, Ja! You’ll be missed.
And to everyone who keeps insisting on raising hell and expressing outrage over mass media content? Please do us a favor and follow Mr. Rule on a long walk off a short pier. Seriously, take personal responsibility and turn the TV off.
E! censoring Kathy Griffin (a comedienne) because she said, “Suck it, Jesus” at an awards show that no one even watches?? Pitiful. XM Radio suspending Opie and Anthony because one of their guests talked about having sex with Condoleeza Rice?? Pathetic.
I’m tired of everyone expecting the swift arm of the law to intervene when they are offended by something. You don’t speak for me, you speak for yourself. Now, I’m prevented from experiencing content because some group of assholes scares a company into censoring it (not that I give a shit about seeing Kathy Griffin accept an Emmy, but that’s beside the point). Grow up. If you don’t like what your kid watches? Don’t let them watch it. You don’t like what you heard on the radio? Tell your friends. Write a letter to the editor. Just don’t use some fucking political or economic bullying to force that content out of the hands of people who might enjoy it. And to you networks/companies who provide access to this content? Support your fucking artists. Do you think anyone who is a loyal listener to Opie and Anthony will ever be offended by something they say? Doubtful. You won’t lose any subscriptions, chill out. And E!…well, no one is going to watch the Creative Arts Emmys anyways.
SIGH
Here ends this not entirely coherent rant.
