J.K. Rowling’s The Tales of Beedle the Bard

Amazon.com has purchased one of the seven copies of J.K. Rowling’s The Tales of Beedle the Bard at auction for £1,950,000, and has now released a set of pictures of the work.

J.K. Rowling handwrote and illustrated each of the seven copies in existence. The book contains five wizarding tales referenced in the last book of the Harry Potter series. You can read more about the book at the special page Amazon set up, and you can see more of the pictures below. Pretty cool, I’m sure there are many upset Harry Potter fans that this book hasn’t been published yet, but my bet is that this will eventually come out in a printed edition. The special auction money was donated to charity, but no reason the printed edition profits couldn’t go to the same place.
