Joaquin Phoenix: Repeats His Plans To Retire From Acting

Joaquin Phoenix, 34, announced last week that he would be leaving acting to work on his music full-time and just in case people didn’t get it, he reiterated his goodbye on Saturday.

Phoenix scrawled the word ‘goodbye’ on his knuckles when he attended Saturday’s Los Angeles premiere of his film, Two Lovers, to really get the point across.

“I think it’s just moving on,” he added Saturday in an interview with the Associated Press. “It’s rediscovering something else.”

“It’s like greener pastures, you know what I mean?” Phoenix said Saturday. “And so, I’m just going to try and like, I’ll just be doing the other thing … Hopefully, I will emotionally impact you with that, as well.”

I mean, is he wanting someone to beg him to keep acting? We get it, you’re done.
