John A. “Junior” Gotti: Arrested, Linked to 3 Murders

John A. “Junior” Gotti, the leader of the Gambino crime family in the 1990s and son of “The Dapper Dan” John Gotti, was arrested early this morning on charges of racketeering and his involvement with three New York area murders.
He is being linked to a former Gambino drug ring that operated in New York, New Jersey and Florida even though Gotti has repeatedly renounced the mob and says he wants to be left alone.
Gotti’s attorney, Seth Ginsberg, said that his client was taken to the Melville, New York office of the FBI and would be driven to Manhattan federal court for a court appearance later this morning.
Gotti has been tried three times in the past for racketeering and conspiracy for an alleged plot to kidnap Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa but the trials ended in mistrials and hung juries so federal prosecutors announced that they were giving up.
Gotti is the brother of Victoria Gotti, who starred in the A&E Network series Growing Up Gotti with her three sons.
