Just So You Know: CNN/YouTube Debate
Just so you know, CNN and YouTube will make history tomorrow night when CNN hosts the first of two YouTube-driven Presidential debates to air throughout the 2008 election cycle. The first of these debates will air Monday at 7pm EST, and will pose questions submitted via YouTube to the Democratic canidates. Live from Charleston, S.C., the debate will be moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
The LA Times reports that as of this morning, YouTube has recieved over 2,300 uploaded questions. If you’d like to be question 2,301, click here And if you’d rather grill the Republican candidates, you can do that too. That debate airs September 17th, also on CNN.
I’d strongly recommend popping up a bowl o’corn and cozying up to the TV to watch this, if only to see the candidates squirm in the face of “real” people and “real” questions. And they’ll be squirming alright. Just wait til they get to my question. If you had to choose between Captain Crunch or the Kool Aid Man, which would you pick to replace the entire US Army in Iraq? The Captain does command a lot of authority, but that big red jug can walk through walls. And that’s some scary shit.
