Katherine Heigl: “Ungrateful” For “Grey’s Anatomy”

Katherine Heigl has officially bitten the hand that feeds her and they don’t seem happy about it. Heigl removed herself from the Emmy race Wednesday citing a lack of award-winning material this season on Grey’s Anatomy for her character Dr. Isobel Stevens.
“I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention,” Katherine said Wednesday. “In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”
Those comments didn’t exactly go over well with those who work on the show.
“The show bent over backwards to accommodate her film schedule, and then she criticizes the show for lack of material?” a source told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s an ungrateful slap in the face to the very writers responsible for her Emmy win in the first place.”
Heigl won an Emmy in 2007 for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
