Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor: Take Home Gold
U.S. Volleyball players Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor headed to Beijing in hopes of repeating their Olympic victory in Athens and in a dramatic rain drenched finale, the ladies succeeded.
Walsh and May-Treanor have become a popular duo in the sport and have maintained a dominance over their competitors but they might be parting ways.
Both women want to get started on having babies so they can begin raising the volleyball stars of the future. Walsh is married to fellow pro beach volleyball player Casey Jennings and May-Treanor is married to Florida Marlins catcher Matt Treanor so it looks like sports could be a big focus of their impending children.
“I was putting everything into it as my last Games,” May-Treanor said. “It’s too far ahead to look ahead. I would like to come back and have my kids see me play. But I would like to start a new journey and see my husband too.”
I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t admit it, but a big draw of watching the two women play is the itty bity uniforms they don and adding a pregnant belly to the equation probably wouldn’t be the best idea.
