Kristen Bell to play Christina Aguilera’s rival in ‘Burlesque’
It’s a battle of the blondes!
Kirsten Bell, 29, is set to play opposite Christina Aguilera, 28, in “Burlesque” - a musical drama that centers on two rival bombshells trying to make the big time.
The role marks a bit of a departure for Bell, whose previous parts include the lead on “Veronica Mars,” as a studious investigator, and as a high-maintenance actress in the comedy “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”
Her character is a fiery lead dancer who doesn’t take it well when she gets upstaged by Aguilera, who plays the undiscovered, up-and-coming talent, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
