Kurt Cobain: Ashes Stolen

Kurt Cobain’s ashes have been stolen from his widow, Courtney Love’s house. Apparently, Love kept a pink teddy-bear shaped bag containing Cobain’s ashes and a lock of his hair at her house and was “horrified” when it was stolen along with thousands of dollars of valuables a few weeks ago.

This turn of events has left the actress understandably upset and she released a statement saying the situation is making her feel “suicidal.”

She says, “I can’t believe anyone would take Kurt’s ashes from me. I find it disgusting right now I’m suicidal. If I don’t get them back I don’t know what I’ll do.

“They were all I had left of my husband. I used to take them everywhere with me just so I could feel Kurt was still with me. Now it feels like I have lost him all over again.”

Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994 and some of his ashes were scattered at a Buddhist temple in New York, some were scattered in the Wishkah River near his home in Washington State and the rest remained with Courtney.

Courtney Love has definitely had her train wreck moments over the years but geez stealing her dead husband’s ashes is pretty brutal.
