Laurence Fishburne: Set to Join “CSI”?
Most people remember Laurence Fishburne as Matrix bigwig “Morpheus” and it is now rumored that he could be filling the shoes of William Peterson on CSI.
It was announced last month that Peterson would be leaving the hit CBS show and now many fans wonder if the show will remain popular without him.
The execs at CBS hope to solve that problem by replacing him with a well-known actor and Fishburne’s name has come up in that conversation.
The search for a new CSI actor has been shrouded in secrecy, but sources say Fishburne is being courted to play a new character, described as a doctor/scientist outsider to the CSI unit who has the same genetic profile as a serial killer but hasn’t previously acted on any homicidal impulse.
