Leighton Meister: Born in Jail!
Quite contrary to the privileged life her character on the hit show Gossip Girls leads, Leighton Meister was born while her mother was behind bars!
Meister’s mother was allowed to stay in a halfway house for the birth but was then returned to prison when Leighton turned three months according to Star Magazine.
Leighton was then raised by relatives while her mother continued her stay behind bars for her participation in a major drug-running ring.
The prison time for drug dealing runs in the family! Her father, grandfather and aunt all spent time in federal prison for the crime.
