Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon: Married With Tattoos to Prove It
Last week, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were in the news because of a rumored engagement and now it’s official: they’re married. People Magazine have the pictures and interview to prove in their latest issue on newsstands today.
The wedding took place on April 30th at Carey’s house in the Bahamas after a courtship going on since March. Yes, March of this year. They met while filming the video for her new video “Bye Bye” and there was an instant connection.
“From the first time we sat down to discuss the video at the Beverly Hills Hotel, we connected,” Cannon said. “We had so much in common spiritually, and we laugh at the same things. I didn’t have to put on my Mac Daddy suave mode. I was able to be myself with her. We are both eternally 12 years old.” That’s good. So when Mariah has a 12-year-old tantrum Nick will understand.
Apparently they are serious because the happy couple got tattoos to prove that this union will last forever….or until the trip to the laser removal office I suppose. The wedding was small with only a dozen guests in attendance and the bride wore a dress by Nile Cmylo that faded from off-white to pale pink.
I can’t say this is the weirdest celeb couple ever but I’m intrigued to see where it’ll go from here.
