Mariah Carey: Dodges Pregnancy Questions On “Ellen”
Like a good talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres does her best to get guest Mariah Carey to slip up and prove/say that she’s preggers like the rumors suggest while Carey does her best to play it off.
“People are saying that you’re pregnant,” DeGeneres says.
“No, that’s OK,” Carey coyly replies.
DeGeneres next tries to get the songtress to drink some champagne to toast not being pregnant.
Carey tries to say it’s “fattening” and then adds, “I can’t believe you did this to me, Ellen. This is peer pressure.”
Carey pretends to drink the champagne as she adds, “It’s too early for me. I only drink after 3 p.m.!”
“You’re pregnant,” DeGeneres flat-out tells her.
“I didn’t say that. No, no, no. My mother would be at home, like on the computer, like what are you talking about?” Carey replies. “We will let you know when we’re going to have a family.”
Carey also talks to Ellen about not consummating her relationship with hubby Nick Cannon until they tied the knot.
No wonder they rushed into it.
