Matt and Ben do some good
While everyone out there was watching the VMA’s or attending it, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were doing something worthwhile and meaningful with their Sunday evening.
Yesterday, Ben and Matt were the hosts for the One X One Gala at the Toronto Film Festival. This event raises money for children’s charities both domestic and global.
Matt Damon is very passionate about the poor quality of living in Africa saying, “When people are subsisting on less than $1 a day they’re not getting educated, they’re not getting adequate health care, they’re not getting enough food. Those are the issues that you go, ‘Look, as a citizen of the world, I’m not going to stand for this.’ These are not problems that can’t be solved - these are problems that can be solved.”
Right on Matt, keep up with the good work!
