Nancy Reagan: Hospitalized After Fall

Nancy Reagan’s spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday that the former first lady was hospitalized in California after she broke her pelvis in a fall at her house.
“She will remain at UCLA for a few days — until doctors are satisfied with her progress — and then return home,” her spokeswoman Joanne Drake said, adding that her recovery would take “six to eight weeks.”
“Mrs. Reagan is in good spirits, especially comforted to be receiving care from talented doctors in a world-class hospital named in honor of her late husband,” Drake added.
Reagan, 87, was admitted to the hospital in February after a suspected broken hip but tests showed no fractures.
Ronald Reagan, Nancy’s late husband, died in 2004 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
