Neal E. Boyd: “America’s Got Talent” Winner
Neal E. Boyd, the opera singing insurance salesman from Sikeston, Missouri, cried tears of joy last night as he took home first place on America’s Got Talent.
Boyd walked away with bragging rights as well as $1 million dollars and a headlining gig in Las Vegas after what host Jerry Springer called the closest vote ever - less than one half percent.
“This competition, coming in, I didn’t think that I would make it this far,” Boyd said moments before the result was announced.
“I didn’t think people would respond to opera, but they have. And I love America so much for getting me to this point.”
