Obama: Calls On ‘Alaska Mythbusters’ About Palin

September 10, 2008

Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama, has called on the “Alaska Mythbusters” to debunk myths about Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her ability or lack of it to lead the country.

“I do have some very serious concerns about her qualifications for the office and some of the issues they are running on in terms of change that don’t meet the facts of the situation,” former Alaska governor Tony Knowles said.

Item 1: “Troopergate” - Palin is accused of firing a state official for refusing to fire her sister’s ex-husband from the state trooper force.

Item 2: Credibility Gap - Example: “Bridge to Nowhere” - Palin has told cheering crowds in Ohio and Virignia that she told Congress, “Thanks, but no thanks” and blocked the building of the expensive federally funded bridge connecting Ketchikan and an airport on the nearby island of Gravina.

“Sarah Palin never told Congress, ‘thanks, but no thanks’. In fact, she never told Congress anything — the appropriations process for the bridge happened before she became governor,” mythbuster Weinstein reported back.
